I remember it well, Shane. We were doing ok (or so we thought) for 45 minutes, then Liverpool changed into second gear. My lasting memory is of Ron Futcher running around like a headless chicken.

I've just realised I was only just 28 then; suddenly I feel very old indeed.

Remember it well. We were going down to the bus station. Bobbies shoved them into Granada car park from what I remember, lots of stuff being hurled.

Other time was the Willard game when loads of Barnsley lads turned up to see them onto their train. We went straight through to the car park, but I’m told it got very ugly that day as well.

Does anyone know what the attendance was? My memory says it was about 20,000 which was pretty good considering it was live on the telly....

I remember as the Liverpool team ran out they announced "please welcome the english and european champions". We gave them far roo much respect. I also remember Ian Rush clapping when the Ponte sang you're gonna Wembley you're gonna Wembley, we're not at 0-4.
