I can’t wait for the Birmingham Derby game. Given how much they’ve both said about our style of football, that game will be like Brazil versus Barcelona surely?

Derby fans seem to conveniently forget the game at theirs where we played them off the park and tore them a new one and same at Brum .
They say whatever fits their narrative or excuses,
It’s only one teams fault there’s no quality ? Yeah right ho.
We played them off the park at Pride Park and Rooney couldn’t face that criticism again so he opted fo hoof ball and blame opposition.
The Myth of us hoof balling it is bore out of embarrassment from opponents . Yes we are direct but hoofball ? Really ? (apart from yesterday because of the winds) ,
It’s getting to be an excuse now for embarrassed managers and lazy commentators .

Brum were worse than Derby, but the Derby game overall was far, far worse than the Brum game. Even setting aside the results.

    Yep I agree.

Usually I don’t care what others are saying and give me results over performances every time but, to me anyway, there seems to be a lack of respect with the comments recently.

Cardiff was worse than both. How McCarthy had them play against us was thugery which is worse than play acting.

The mere fact the the opposition now adapt their style of play to try to deal with our tactics is testimony to the fact that we are doing well. In the recent past it would be us who were having to set up to nullify the threat from the opposition.

This is great progress. I hope we can continue to make opposition coaches scratch their heads.

It’s the excuses they make and journos not taking them up on it that irks me .
Hopefully he’ll be found out along with Rowett and Karanka .

    What was the common denominator?
Just because teams are now coming to play route one against us doesn't mean we have to double down and kick it further and higher.
Looking forward to tomorrow because hopefully Bournemouth play football and we respond with a return to the actual press and playing football in their half.
