Bar none. Anyone that posted “**** sake” when a player came on. Either on here or Twitter. Anyone that posted “that’s it now” when we conceded. You are holding this club back. You are the reason we improved so much when fans stopped being allowed to attend. On the tweet about the half time substitutions there were 5 responses with every one being “**** sake Kane?” Or “Kane is ****”. How do you all think he will feel when he reads that after the game today? Think it’s going to invigorate him for the next one? He had a fantastic game today, but he’s going to read those comments now after the game. You can get 1,000 nice comments but it’s the 2 negative ones that you’ll remember. When it comes from people that are supposed to be ‘supporting’ you - well I think it’s ridiculous and those people should be absolutely ashamed. Just think about what you post and don’t be knobheads.
It's something in the blood mate. Always been the same. My dad wasn't "glass half full", he wasn't even optimistic enough for "glass half empty"....
Twitter is full of weirdos. Nearly every football related tweet ends up being overtaken by fan boys of Messi and Ronaldo, claiming why one is better than the other. They've probably only watched them on YouTube as well.
We're not. We're the same as every set of fans in the country. Bit naïve to think there aren't fans of other clubs on forums and social media across the country slagging off individual players and managerial decisions. It's called football.
Alas some 'fans' use the club as a platform to whinge about their own crappy existence. I wish they would find some other 'hobby' to be the target for their malcontent.
I hate how fans tag players into tweets slagging them off, imagine having an off day at work and getting home to to see random idiots sending you messages slagging you off
We moved our seats once after buying season ticket, just non stop moaning and abuse from people around us ,luckily next spot was ok,sums up world we live in,thought people might mellow after all this pandemic horror we lived through but seems not to be
Definitely worse at Barnsley, lost count of the times I've heard "they don't want to go up" - mostly from my dad.... When we arrived at Oakwell for the Bradford game in 1997, I said "Go on, say it..." oh how we laughed .
Anyone who uses social media, whatever platform it maybe is a total nobhead....wait, hang on a minute
Agree about the style of criticism but feel it's the right of fans to have their say...insults and abuse should be banned by Twitter bt as many long serving Reds fans will tell ya we've had players who made ya say "for gods sake...why" wen they've come on...but no excuse for abuse.
Genuinely didn't know that was a thing. I have no problem with people giving their assessment of a player on places like this BBS. If we all just wrote that everything is awesome things would be very very boring. But there's no way I'd be anything other than respectful if I was ever in a player's company, even if I didn't rate them as a footballer. And there's no way I'd send criticism to them. Tagging a player into a critical remark about them is just s4it, in every sense. Feel sad that happens.
Plenty of positive stuff on there as well. Only way we can let the team know we're right behind them right now with not being allow in the stadiums.
Nothing to do with football. Some people are just poor or dim, whether on social media or life in general. That’s the society we’ve created.
Yes people do it all the time and it's pathetic really. By all means free speech means you can be critical but tagging people is the same as going up to them and slagging them off.
