Remaining fixtures for teams in the top 6 (Norwich excluded) against teams currently in the top eight. As we know dropped points in this division can happen against any team as it's so competitive, but there's some tricky fixtures in here... Less so for us. Just read the sport in the Sunday Mirror and Andy Dunn doesn't like that we use 5 subs and is glad most Premier teams don't do it. He speaks highly of Val but is against using all those substitutions.
On what grounds? We've been playing 2 games a week since early January - incredible workload on the players and almost certain we'd have picked up more injuries without option to rotate. Can't understand why given the unique circumstances of this season people would be against it.
Missed this while I was typing response. That argument makes little sense - in that case ban subs entirely.
Fcku him. Aye o’reight Andy. Others don’t use the rules to suit, we do. Other clubs don’t play to their strengths. We do. Fcku off.
Haha! How many does he reckon it is? He does know that the subs are replacements and not additional players? Rules are same for everybody, just cos we use ours ‘joker’ style is neither here nor there really. Very strange thinking on his part innit?
QUOTE from him, Yes physical demands are high but shouldn't that be a major part of a skilful management? Pacing your players. There is an art in tiring the opposition and then capitalising on their fatigue. Now Ismael -and any other manager -can just haul off the spent forces and send on fresh calvary.
I would have liked us to play all of the top 6 in the run-in all 6 pointers and would fancy our chances against any of them.
He’s a silly sausage really. Subs aren’t just for fresh legs. They’re also there for injuries and tactical reasons.
