Sunderland’s first win at Wembley since Bob Stokoe and his bowler hat. Makes me feel old , they’ll be glad that records gone.
I've been to every one of our appearances since so pretty pleased to miss this one. Psychologically it's significant, I've done 7 defeats and it feels like a weight lifted.
Nice to hear from you @Redhelen I'm very pleased to see Barnsley doing the biz. I'm pretty tipsy with a fridge full or lagers chilling thank you.
Well done to Lee. Hope he gets them back up to the Championship - whether automatic or via Wembley. It was a roller coaster ride with us, but either he or Hecky did good for us despite some folk on here having not a good word for either. I think they were both very good head coaches for us.
possibly a little unfair here but I'll not get passed the fact Patrick backed him and sheltered as much as he could through a long miserable period where any manager should have been sacked... and when there was a glimmer of light round the corner, Bristol offered him a job and he was outta here not looking back.. well done Patrick, you champion bloke...
Are you sure he just didn't want to pay out the compo. If he'd received his marching orders we'd have gone up automatically.
Thanks mate, I was a little rough this morning but starting to pull around now. Hopefully we won't be playing you next season, as you will be in the Premier League and hopefully we will have made the Championship.
Not unfair in my opinion mate. It’s very rare I’ve got involved in shouting for a managers head, but I did for Johnson. Still can’t stand the guy. He’s been so fortunate it’s unreal and pundits still cream over him, calling him a great young manager. If you want to compare him with a good manager look no further than the current incumbent at Oakwell. For success per pounds spent, Big Val knocks him clean out of the park with big shiny brass knobs on.
