    Think I’m a member of tykes talk but never ever go on it, I never slag it off, I’d completely forgot it existed until this post. I noticed I’m a member of the bbs Facebook group this week but can’t remember joining :)

    I'm not sure I have ever been on Tykes Mad. I have this forum to write my occasional nonsense so I forget that exists. I'm sure it is very similar.

    It’s the abuse of players I don’t like on there. I’ve got no problem with someone saying ‘I don’t think Sibbick is as good as Solbauer so I’d play Solbauer instead’ but when it’s ‘Sibbick is ******* **** get him off’ & stuff like that I don’t think that’s right.

    I think abusing players is barely ever acceptable. If someone’s done something proper stupid like Frimpong at Hillsborough then it’s a bit more understandable but these are just young lads trying their best.

    It’s not just Sibbick either, I’ve seen both Williams, Collins, Kane, Schmidt, Thomas, Chaplin & Adeboyejo all get that kind of treatment.

    I do think the admins on there have their work cut out. The fact that it’s a Facebook group tends to bring a much wider spectrum of supporter. Although it can be tough monitoring this place, I bet it’s a lot tougher over there. I wouldn’t want to do it.

    Originally read Tykestalk but never actually joined, then started to read BBS and found the posters made me want to join the debate and express my opinions, yes i've had moments where I wanted I wanted to say go f*** yself, especially the Brexit debate but always felt this forum seemed more Grown up.....but we do have our share of extreme views at times..

    Ah, Tykestalk is a Facebook group. No wonder I couldn't remember going on there.

    Why anyone would set up a group on that cesspit of a site when this BBS is generously provided to us is beyond me. Even if I still mourn the loss of the lovely classic threaded view, slowly clicking all the reds to green.

    Gally, Hicksy & Loko are three extremely friendly, likeable blokes without a nasty bone in any of them.
