    You really think? Only 2 points off play offs, although Helen I would imagine he would do wonders there with a full season to work with. Said previous was really surprised Sunderland weren't in for him before little lee

    I read earlier today that Portsmouth face some competition from a french club for Daniel. Now I’ve just read from a Portsmouth based news report that the club in question is Nancy would you believe. Viz;

    “The News understands the French Ligue 2 club are keen on offering the former Barnsley boss a way back into football.
    Co-owned by Barnsley stakeholder Chien Lee, the eighth-placed club already have a manager in Jean-Louis Garcia, so have tabled a coaching role to Stendel.
    Crucially, it represents a long-term deal, contrasting with Pompey’s stance.”

    Came as a bit of a surprise to me remembering how he left us

    Appears so as it’s Chien and Pacific Media group (and others)who have bought it.
    Interestingly apparently the group that own Man City were going to buy Nancy for around $14 million but pulled out and bought Troyes instead a t last minute.
