A modern day great adored by all Barnsley fans. But I'm interested to know what would happen if we met at Wembley and he popped one in the top corner to win the game and deny us promotion? How does that effect his status at Barnsley??
Will still love him, his graft and fight was what I liked about him. Hopefully in that situation he does a Pinnock though!
That’s why I’m rooting for Swansea to go straight up. Unless he fancies scoring a couple of own goals for us?
For me it wouldn't change how I look back on his time here at all. It would be gutting though. I suppose if it's going to happen, I'd rather the goal be scored by a player that wouldn't celebrate (which, I don't think he would) rather than followed by a huge celebration by the opposition players!
Would still love him. Was an absolute captain marvel, and left on good terms. I'm trying to think of an equivalent, someone who left for better things without rejecting the club/pissing the fans off and ended up playing us in a proper competitive way.
Would still see him in the same light, he,s now a Swansea player and i would expect him to give no less than 100% because of the pro that he is....Still don,t think he,d celebrate though..,.
Makes no difference he is a ex player if he comes up against us he will be trying his best for Swansea. We could meet a few ex reds in the play offs, pinnock, toney yiadom.
He has every right to and I wouldn’t blame him if he did. I don’t think he would though, I really don’t.
I would boo him, like any other opposition player. Once they've left unless they've gone onto really develop their career, Stones, Holgate etc l couldn't really give a toss about them.
he got Villa promoted and to play in the top division. I certainly wouldn't boo him, he served the club well.when he was here and wouldn't go to Wednesday.
Curious , why would you boo a player who has earnt the total respect of all Barnsley fans ? Even if as you say you do not give a toss about him, he is a man doing his job to the best of his ability & does not deserve to be booed for that .
I give more of a toss about conor than stones or holgate. At least conor achieved something with us, stones made less than 20 league games for us and holgate couldnt wait to leave. Dont get me wrong I like stones and holgate to do well because of the connection to us and because there is a sell on still on holgate but there hardly legends of the club.
