https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news...irklees-council-agrees-new-ownership-20191178 So after just 28 years the ground needs vast sums in the millions pumped in over the next decade just to double the age of the ground from what it currently is. It made me think of our own stadium issues with ownership, the west stand, how many seats are blocked off for big crowds especially in the north stand and how we can't split the north stand even though it was built for that reason. If Huddersfield with their pretty new ground have such big costs to keep it up to scratch, it's no wonder we have our own problems.
It's because their ground is built out of concrete, breeze blocks and corrugated sheeting. It wasn't built to last, just to look aesthetically pleasing where as the West Stand bogs were built to stand the test of time and explosive beer fart diarrhoea.
Had my vaccination there on Saturday night. Kilner Bank side and walked out through the away end. Brought back so many happy memories and for old times sake (and because we might not be there again for some time!!) took a couple of photos. No sooner had I taken the second one a load voice boomed out “Can you delete those photos from your phone please” I walked down to two stewards showed them my camera as I deleted them. “There you go I said!” “Now go to your recently deleted photos and delete them from there!”said one of the stewards!! So shocked I failed to ask them why?? Why??
I dont know, but it could be that you're in what's classed as a medical area, so there's privacy restrictions?
I’d read from the description he was just photographing the stadium rather than the vaccination centre.
They were afraid that he was a spy engaged by our board to take pictures of likely new stadium designs. Their's is just SOOOO good that we are bound to want to copy it, no?
And Brum s another one To cap it all, the stadium, sold for £22.8m last year to a company controlled by the owner Paul Suen Cho Hung is no longer fit for purpose. A routine inspection by Birmingham city council in December found two stands – the Tilton and the Kop – failed to satisfy safety guidelines and there are major doubts as to whether they will be fixed in time for the expected return of fans next season"
It was just photos of the away end and the pitch. Nothing else. My second vaccine is the day after the play off final. Plans afoot if we win!!
My nephew lives down Donny Road and has some great pictures from his drone of the stadium and its goings on.. But not on match days.
Yes its abit like these new builds they look nice but thrown up the emphasis is on profit. Give it another 70 years they'll be struggling while the old council houses will be fine.
I was walking alongside the pitch and got my phone out and got the same warning booming at me. I wasn't even taking pictures. Little Hitlers!
Surprised they are being nasty about just taking photos of the stadium. You aren't doing no harm. When I am able to go for a vaccine I plan to go to Boots in the town centre instead of the stadium anyway.
It really wasn't and that needed addressing. It also shouldn't take a full half time break to get from you seat to the toilet and back.
Yup, that’s it. It might seem strange and a little OTT, but that’s how it should be and they’re enforcing it. TBF, I don’t think anyone can knock the UK’s effort with vaccinations, so can’t knock them.
