Really strong looking starting eleven. Looks as though VI is going for the jugular from the off. Bench also looks good. Herbie, Vic, Carlton , Conor and Appo could all well see action in the second half.
Apparently a Derby fan has been on their forum and informed them we are the most kick and rush football team he’s ever seen ? Crikey talk abart scare stories , he failed to tell em his team out did us for long balls on the night and that’s besides taking into consideration the Gale force winds on the night .
I like our line up tonight and a strong bench as well. Jason McCarthy playing for them. You'd think he'd have a point to prove against us as he didn't get much of a chance.
We appear to mix our approach according to the opposition and the state of the pitch. On Saturday for example we played some nice stuff and when required, we weren't afraid to clear our lines and launched it.
He, like me, was probably having to listen to BBC Radio Derby’s commentary. Bournemouth‘s Willo had nothing on Derby’s commentary pair. At one point they suggested we should be docked points because of our style of play. Derby’s dives were “using their experience “, ours deserved a yellow card. Derby defenders “effectively cleared their lines” whilst we “hacked the ball upfield “, and so on. There’s some poor commentators out there!
Yeah they seem to have a poor knowledge of opposition teams or at least a very biased sheep like mentality. They never mentioned the game at pride park where we gave them a football lesson . Rooney was making excuses before a ball was kicked at Oakwell about long ball and it seems they’re fans and media have gone with his narrative rather than what has a actually. happened
Val knows what he’s doing but I would have liked to see Woodrow given a rest....... Yes, some will say he’s the best finisher at the club etc,,,, but for me, he’s been off the pace for a couple of weeks now.... If he doesn’t get himself into the positions he’s not gonna finish so he just ends up running around....Morris offers much more....... That’s why Big Val’s the Manager & not me
Honestly, the 9 subs could all start and we'd still be saying it's a strong line up. We're in such a good position in terms of strength in depth.
He's not perfect, he's missed 6 out of 29 which is a 79% success rate, the average in football is 75%. Woodrow has an 88% success rate
