Just checking. Am I still a conspiracy theorist for believing we will have vaccine passports

I never actually said anything about their effectiveness or their use. Don't think they are being lifted on the 21st - situation is being reviewed. That's all ...

    Social distancing restrictions.

    "Social contact
By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact."

Masks seems particularly pointless when it seems large sections of the population have decided to hell with the rules and are just meeting inside each other homes.

Might come into place depending on criteria being met - so nothing certain at the moment. Poll from leading scientists believe it should be extended in 2022. We've been told many things - case of believing them when they actually happen

I don't believe a health/medical passport should be used under any circumstances within a country. I dread to think what will happen if we go down that road. Anyone with any health condition will be severely prejudiced against if this is allowed to happen. The mortality rate of Covid-19 is a fraction of almost any other disease you can mention other than the common cold. If this is brought in for Covid-19, if this becomes a precedent, it will be brought in for other diseases, all of which are far more serious. Allowing this to happen is signing away the rights of anyone with a disability and anyone with a medical condition.

It's not the same as requiring vaccinations to enter certain countries. The diseases for which those vaccinations are required are lethal to those who contract them in the order of many magnitudes above Covid-19. If this is passed for Covid-19, what is the argument to stop it being passed for every other condition, disease and disability, almost all of which are far worse?

I want to go to the pub. I want to talk to people. I want to make people laugh. I want put my arms around someone, look in their eyes and kiss them. But as much as I fk*cing need that, I'm not screwing over everyone who will be prejudiced against if we allow this to be legalised. We can't let this happen.

Keir knows :) The Lib Dems don't want them either. It will cost pubs for example a few grand a week to hire a few guys with an SIA license to be on the door from open to close seven days a week. If there is more than one way to get in you will need more than a couple. Many pubs wouldn't be able to survive and they would have to put up prices to make back the cost, which would stop as many customers drinking there.

Boris will tell us more next Monday. I suspect we will all need a vaccine passport to get in to Oakwell next season. That then brings up an whole host of questions such as will it make extra cost for the club? Will the passport be checked before you reach the turnstile to get your seasonal pass checked? If you get your VP checked at the same time as your match ticket will it have to be scanned every game even if it's the same person dealing with you every game and they recognise you? It would speed things up if the person could let you in without showing your VP as long as they remember seeing it off you before.

According to Wiki, in a normal year three times more tourists visit than there are residents, so it's not difficult to see what a danger would be posed by them not keeping strict measures to avoid inwards transmission.

They're effectively gonna lose most of their tourism until at least September.

I've read before 20%+ of their whole economy is tourism.

Many of the businesses on the island simply won't survive 2 years in a row without income.

Should follow Cyprus and only require a quick test.

They would be less happy if young people carried the virus to Malta & they ended up having to close their access to everyone
