Yep, I've got 2 booked, looking at a third. Went twice last year, August and November. Prices are unbelievable, once in a lifetime, a 3rd of what they should be. #winning
I booked last year to the Dominican Republic for July this year, looks like that's a no go then 2 years on the trot I'm turning as white as a ghost, want a bit of colour.
Not yet, Clownman doing the groundwork now with his washing up on our shores drivel so that's abroad probably kiboshed. The UK will be rammed and most likely poor value with a captive market. Scotland if they'll have us.
If you go abroad as a couple you have to factor in £400 minimum for testing and 10 days quarantine. As DEETEE says....
One of the legitimate reasons you can leave is to escape the risk of harm. That's an easy argument to make, "I'm getting away from you Covid riddled bostids"
We’ve got 2 booked, one in July which we transferred from last year and one in sept to Zante, flights only, we’ll pay for apts when we get there, price of flights were cheap, I just thought that once they announce we can finally go abroad the prices will go through the roof. If not we’ll just transfer them on to another flight.
Given up on abroad for this year and will only book once/if things have returned to normal for a decent period of time. Would imagine it will be devastating for the industry if this summer is a no go.
Not booked anything this year. Summer is always my busiest time with work, so only go abroad in winter months, usually Jan-March which is cheap & I miss the horrible weather. My best mate lives in Lisbon, so I'm hoping Jan or Feb 2022 to go over. It's easier to fly to Faro from Leeds / Bradford for me, pick up a hire car & do a few days in the Algarve on either side. I won't book anything till relatively last minute though. Most of the time I'm happy going to places in the UK. If I get the right gig somewhere that usually pays for a cottage & the fuel, with a bit of beer money left over. I've discovered some great places in the UK doing this that I'd have never thought of visiting, especially in Scotland.
I’m hoping for a break in England. Hopefully a couple of days in the Wembley area of London around mid May.
It's beyond a joke. We're happy to use testing statistics to strike fear in to the population with headline numbers, but not happy for that negative test coupled with quarantine to allow you to travel. Health and medical reasons seems a likely scenario for being let out of the country for me.
We're booked in for Scotland in May. I'll give you a wave if we pass on the A1. It's a carry over booking from last year. Never entered my head that we might be in the play-offs this time around...
Not bothering with abroad this year, my eldest is starting at Dundee uni in sept so might try and tie in a holiday up there at the same time. 100 miles further north is Buckie and Portknockie which are lovely.
We've two booked for the middle of nowhere in April and late September. I can't see how we go overseas this calendar year.
I’ve got Turkey booked in July, Croatia in August and Amsterdam booked in October so far. This clusterfûck government will put the mokkers on all of it I’d imagine.
