    I was reading an article in Shoot the other day and have been having some thoughts about how to get fans back to oakwell promptly

    back in 2003 I emailed Gordon Sheperder about installing Dog turnstiles into the oakwell ground and he wrote back to me to say it’s something that’s being considered so I presume its been done by now.

    So I can write to Daryl Murphy and tell him that we could, starting as soon as the Reading match next Thursday, allow all dogs back into the stadium for a trial. I’ve done some rough calculations and if he reintroduced the Hound for a Pound Scheme then we would make approximately £134,728 less policing costs and heating, based on 1 in every 2 Barnsley fans owning a dog. Dogs don’t get covid-virus - that’s been scientifically proven. So it’s completely safe.

    I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I think one of the biggest issues at football is the atmosphere of toxic masculinity because the attendance is so sausage heavy on balance. Consequently, I think it’s important for the club to encourage more women and girls to the game - but in these gender fluid times I’d be concerned at any offer being taken advantage of by people falsely self identifying. Therefore, as an opening offer, please may I present:
