    We’ve got -

    Pickford / Henderson

Walker or TAA Stones Maguire Trippier
    Henderson Phillips Foden
    Lingard Calvert - Lewin Rashford

    They’ve got -

    Pope
    James Dier Mings Shaw
    Ward-Prowse Rice Mount
    Sterling Kane Sancho

I don’t think there’s anything in the keepers. We’re clearly better at the back & they’re clearly up front. I think we have a slightly better midfield so I’m going 2-1 to the North.

And I decided to not get involved in a Jack Grealish north or south debate.

why isn’t Sterling playing for the north. I know he was born in Jamaica but he’s lived and played up her for virtually all his life.

He grew up in London didn’t he?

I think as a serious answer to the question, in the hypothetical scenario where The North got independence there would likely be something similar to how Ireland works. Players from ‘The North’ can play for either team.

I think independence is extremely unlikely anyway, as I’m sure everyone knows. I could see this leading to some form of devolved powers for the north though.

And as a fun hypothetical scenario imagine a Westminster government coalition made up of NIP and SNP and how hilarious that would be.

Since I live on the Isle of Man can it be included as an off shore tax haven(20% max). The road speeds may have to be changed, especially to remove the unrestricted speed limit on some roads over here. There appears to be a lot of Northerners here including a few Reds fans.

I could’ve sworn he was an adopted Londoner who grew up in sight of Wembley & Liverpool nicked him from QPR.

Although I could’ve got a few wrong. The one I cheated on was Dean Henderson. Born in Whitehaven in Cumbria

It is a joke then? Surely a truly socialist platform would want better living standards throughout the country not just selfishly in the North?

Seems like a stunt and a mean-spirited one as well. I believe in devolution of more powers for Yorkshire and I've voted for Yorkshire Party candidates in local elections, but I could never support the hard socialist policies NIP are proposing.

Splitting the left/centre left vote can only be a good thing for the Tories or tory supporters

Any party that only stands in a fraction of the seats, and splits any non-tory vote would give the opposite of any real opposition.

By war apologists, if you mean the Blair Iraq war, the current Labour leader spoke out against that at the time.

On the political side of it since taking over the leadership Keir Starmer has spent the last year attacking the left of the party more than he does the Tories so I don’t blame anyone becoming disillusioned & voting for a different party.

The frustrating thing is if he would’ve followed the 10 aims of his leadership like he said he would then he would’ve had the left of the party supporting him.

Instead he lied & his attempts to woo Brexiteers have failed miserably.

The SNP seem to have shaken off the shackles of the 2 party system. The problem with the U.K. is it’s political system that entrenches dramatic swings in public policy., disenfranchises millions and leads to people voting for the least worst. Labour needs to work with all other centre left parties. Agree pre electoral pacts. Agree to a change in electoral system and campaign on that basis. Until they do they are the problem not the solution.

yup that’s my take. All he had to do really was present the policies of the 2017 with a nice suit a better haircut and no baggage. He lied. People like me who voted for him have left as a result and won’t vote Labour.

The SNP may have shaken off those shackles in Scotland, but the effect on Parliament is still in favour of the conservatives, as votes from people that would never vote tory are split.

Agree entirely with the rest of what you say though. There needs to be some sort of alliance of parties, to get rid of what is now a rogue government, who gamify the current system for it's own benefit.
