I'm scared of mirrors for that reason. Won't have one in the bedroom or look in one when I to the bog at night.
Not something I've experienced but one of my old bosses was told his house was haunted by a grey lady who used to walk down the stairs. I'm not sure he ever saw her but his adopted son (aged about 4) not long after he'd gone to live with them said the old lady had told him every thing would be alright.
From a family of pit men and having grown up hearing a great many stories that left me petrified as a kid. Especially the one where my dad told me about visiting an outlying spot late at night and saying "ay up" to the bloke stood outside in his big trenchcoat smoking a rolly. Bloke ignored him but my dad carried on with the job for a while, slightly annoyed that the old feller had ignored him. Another chap arrived and my dad commented on the grumpy old bloke outside only to get the reply "of course he's a miserable git, he's been dead 30 years"
A chap who I work with as often said that when he as been in the office late at night he as heard strange noises, to the point where he as thought sod this I am off. I never gave any it thought until the day after Boxing Day when I went into work. As I was walking past the fire door I noticed it was slightly open. Nobody ever uses this door so I decided to check the CCTV. I worked out when the last people would have been on sight and watched from there. The camera I watched looked sideways on to the area where the fire door is. After about 5 minutes the fire door flung violently open despite there been no wind or anybody been in the building at the time. 2 minutes later the door shut with the same ferocity, there was no jump in the time or logical explanation
