    Qualifying has always created a false I pression of England as a team - we qualify with flying colours then stumble when we hit the first bump in the road at a tournament. Think the whole qualification thing needs looking at again - seeded teams through maybe and lower teams qualify for last few places.

    Ah I see - no I do like to see them do well and would love to see them win a tournament but I just cannot see it happening

    We beat the Argies in Japan in 2002...err that’s about it, I think there was a stat that we haven’t beaten a top 5 ranked team in a knockout stage of any major tournament since we beat Spain in the euros at Wembley.
