No doubt clubs will be interested in VI, but at the same time, this could be just a case of former player being linked for a job that might not even be vacant.

Goes with the territory I’m afraid, when you’re doing well, coaches and players will be linked with moves away. No doubt the usual Social Media outlets will be in overdrive with hysteria about this. Until something happens I’ll treat it as ‘ meh’

Twas ever & thus, eventually someone is going to take an interest, we'll just have to keep enjoying the ride whilst it lasts. Having said that I don't how much clout Tribal football has got, it's just speculation as far as I can see.

It shouldn't be a surprise that other clubs are looking at Valerien after what we've achieved this season. If the club have any nous, they'll hang on to him if they can because we are going places with VI at the helm. You Reds :)

There will be plenty of interest unfortunately. I think if Hodgson wants to stay on though they would be mad not to keep him. He's made Palace a stable Premier League club with fairly limited resources. Some other big names listed there, but no doubt pure speculation at the moment. Nothings gonna change till the season ends & I can only see VI staying focused to see this season through.

Looking at the squad, and players out on loan, there's a point where backing and keeping the coach would be the cheaper option. Another batch of player sales, and new coach that wants players for his style could lead to another costly rebuild.

I'd say it's probably more lazy journalism linking an ex player who's doing well.

I'd be amazed if Frank didn't get that job to be honest.

I'd stick with Woy personally if I was in charge of Palace. Wait and see what Val brings to the Prem next season and then swoop!

Just seems like lazy journalism that because he's doing well and used to play for Palace, we should link him to them. I don't worry about losing head coaches. Do I want Val to stay? Of course I do hopefully for many more years. But with Stendel, Struber and Val our owners know how to pick a head coach.

If he goes. He goes. He's from the conveyor belt of foreign coaches we've been looking at. Same with players. If we are promoted half of the players we've lauded over won't be good enough and will need jettisoning anyway. It's life.

I've never been more chilled out about players and coaches since we've had these owners. Get some brass and move on.

Seems that they are looking to replace R Hodgsen at the end of season and Val at top of list.Sorry if posted before.

Isn't this rumour just from a Crystal Palace Fans Forum or has an actual media outlet covered it?

Inevitable. Bloke knows how to win football matches with the tools at his disposal. I’m surprised Arsenal aren’t sniffing round his back end.. o_O

Talk Sport had a discussion about Palace about a week ago. Several of their senior players and Woys contracts are up at the end of the season. They said Palace haven't started discussions with any of them yet. It looks like they are getting ready for a clean out and change of direction. Let's just hope that doesn't involve VI.

My gut feel is that they'll ask Woy to stay on in some capacity and it's got Frank Lampard's name all over it.

They've been discussing palace on talksport for weeks and speculating that they're letting a lot of contracts run down ready for a new manager and change of footballing style. Simon Jordan thinks there will be changes.
