Ok RBW. Suppose you are right. That h/t score did seem to be an absolute massacre.

BUT you can only beat what's in front of you, and in all honesty (as a Fev Rovers supporter) c@$ are playing well this season.

As a Cas fan (watcher of results) they're the Spurs of Rugby League. They'll get into contention and throw it away. They could have won the League leaders shield but blew it on the last day. Then played crap in Grand Final and never turned up for Challenge Cup Final. Worst I've felt though was when they lost to London Broncos in 1999 Semi.

Mirroring my football team. Reaching so many cup finals only to lose.
Must be why I chose to follow them. Glutton for punishment.

They did win the League Leaders Shield Stephen! By a large margin. I agree they didn’t turn up for the a Grand Final and losing to L**ds just doubles the pain.
They are still a joy to watch because of the way they play the game (so the Spurs analogy might have been true for most of their history but not since Mr Anti Football became their Manager.)
It’s also a joy to visit Wheldon Rd. A real proper old ground with some fantastic supporters - like me:D

Never been a fan of rugby league though I do have a wistful feeling for the old days when I had a Su bbuteo rugby league set and teams like Dewsbury and Whitehaven and York were actually allowed to compete on the same pitch as the top sides.
Now they've gone closed shop on the top division and given most clubs ridiculous Americanised names like Rams and Panthers and Dodgers.
How did Leigh get allowed up anyway? Was it because Bradford went bust or something?

Toronto Wolfpack folded so there was a spare space. I've a very aggrieved Fev fan in the house!!

Yeh they started in 2016 and played in the Championship. Got promotion to Super League, had money, and then folded last year due to not being able to field a team and Covid. This left a spare place and Leigh got it. The million pound game in 2019 was played between Toronto and Fev and Toronto went up so a lot of Fev fans think they should have been the next choice as they were the runners up

If I was a fev fan, I’d be more relieved than anything at not being selected. Parachuted up a league at the last minute, when the squad’s already been put together for the second tier, and only given 2/3 of the TV money.

The Super League chairmen only wanted someone to play whipping boy for the year. I wanted them to promote Toulouse

I wanted leigh to go up as I believe they would be the only team possible of stopping us doing it right this season. But we have been ***** so far. Early days but not sure our coach is the right man for job
