..nothing to do with our awful record there either. The heat is on now and the others above us felt it yesterday. A win today is massive though... who’s confident?!
Don't see a win as being particularly massive. No different to any ither game once we got into the top 6 spots. For me the pressure will be on for the semis and final if we get there
Read we have a terrible record playing Coventry but nothing lasts forever. It’s time for change and our squad of players are just the ones to do just that. 2-0 to the Reds.
Away at Coventry we are poor wherever that might be. Highfield Road, Rioch Arena and Sixfields. But with Big Val we got another win at QPR so let's put a stop to our other bogey team.
I woke up this morning feeling fine, the reds are something special, and they’re on my mind. Last night I dreamt of the reds in the premier league... whoa yeah. Something tells me the reds are something good!
We've won 6 in a row away from home, a club record, averaging 2.33 goals a game. We've won 4 of our last 6 visits to St Andrews, averaging 3 goals a game in those visits. St Andrew's was the venue for arguably our most important away victory, putting us 90 minutes from Wembley. A win there today might just be what we need to get us over the line in terms of a play-off place this season.
If it helps, I didn't wake up at all this morning. It was way into the afternoon. Stopping up all night watching the other results come in was maybe not the best idea.
https://www.paddypower.com/football?tab=specials Wins for us, Man United and Arsenal at 11/2 if you're feeling confident.
These are the sort of games play-off chasing teams can slip up in. It's in a similar vein to the Wednesday match. We should win comfortably, but those sorts of situations are where complacency starts to creep in. Hopefully, the big 'un has given them a good talking to this week to let them know exactly what is expected of them.
This is the team that beat Brentford and Bournemouth away. Let’s hope the team aren’t in the same frame of mind as us! If you want any motivation have a look at the Coventry forum ‘it’s only Barnsley’ ‘flukey run’.
Don,t think Val will allow any complacency and the lads will be up for the game, with this weekends results going our way we could make a huge step to securing a play off place, the fact is though, whatever happens this will go down as one of our best seasons ever in my opinion considering how far we,ve come from last season with pretty much the same team, incredible...
I’m also feeling nervous but I think that’s natural for us at this point in the season. It’s certainly better than being nervous at the other end of the table! A win today could be, excuse my language, massive.
Of course I have a bad feeling - its Coventry away - the only positive I can take is its not at the Ricoh . One other positive is even if we lose we are still 4 points clear of Reading.and if we then win the next 2 we are still almost there Id take a draw if offered now
