They've said that for now, the money will talk. French, Dutch, Portuguese and German leagues will have been hit hard by covid.

Something about fan ownership of clubs in Germany. Means they won't entertain it. Just wish that those that keep up the threat, or if as stated signed up, are not allowed back if it goes tits up, afore it even gets off the ground.

I so hope you're correct ST, that they go and the UEFA and domestic leagues have the balls to remove them from all domestic competitions, that this is the financial reset that domestic leagues need and that somehow we're able to rewind football to become fairer, more equitable and ultimately more competitive.

Gary Neville just said Man Utd Arsenal and Liverpool should be relegated for just signing up to the letter of intent of the new league

That was a fantastic rant/statement by Neville. You could see/hear the emotion in him as he was speaking

A European Super League would be proper boring. I love the variety in a league, you get some massive games between the top sides, some proper battles where a team at the bottom tries to outdo a top team then you get proper games at the bottom between clubs fighting for their lives. With 12 high quality clubs and no relegation it’s just boring, would feel like watching the same game week after week.

Yes he didn’t hold back at all. I do wonder though if the big money sponsors throw their weight behind it, there could be a change of heart by some. Going to be an interesting week or so. They said on Sky that the clubs mentioned are going to issue a statement later tonight

Couldn’t have put it better myself what GN said.
Not on his own Roy Keane also condemned it .
It needs all the ex players to come out against this like Neville had imo , it needs condemning at every level as strongly as can be and as PN said punish them .
    Greedy ******** .

He’s against the idea and believes the clubs that have signed -up should be heavily punished with points/ financial, penalties, titles stripped and relegated.

It was full on disgust for the clubs who are linked with the breakaway. He was very scathing towards Man U and Liverpool suggesting they should have enough points deducted to relegate them . I have no doubt it will be all over social media shortly if it isnt already, but its well worth a listen

Cant find a link yet to his outburst. My point being I understand what he's said, and reference to the timing of the statement put out. I'm just wondering if it's mainly about the timing.( Re the Covid position we are in.)
Is he against the idea altogether. ? It can be both.
    Edit
Just read another more in depth article. He's been part of a group. Set up to fight these types of proposals for over 12months. Good on him,
    Thanks btw.

Not often I agree with Gary Neville. But he's spot on in this case.
