As well as bar the players from this league playing international they should also be barred from Playing, coaching or managing and any other activity related to our leagues . Governments should go after them for taxes vigorously and local councils . And also bring in proper immigration laws that doesn’t favour the rich players and keep the law that only International players can come to this country and given the FIFA ban this should have a marked effect . We should have a supporters , explayes etc campaign to boycott anything to do with this abomination.
Just had a look at the table, potentially half this top 6 won't even finish in the top 6 this season, Arsenal might not even be top half. And looks like Leics will be the new team to beat. I'm classing West Ham as this year's fluke.
Let's just bring back capital punishment for the lot of them, and anyone who vaguely supports the idea and send all their relatives to Australia, or summat. Too much?
You’re right about Sky etc with the money making schemes but they didn’t stop other teams joining the party , they made it harder granted but they didn’t stop competition as this proposal is doing and making it invitation only These owners will leave their clubs as soon as it’s born and form a commmitee /organisation that will reap them more money than they could wish for without the liability of investing in to a club . This is all about greed to the detriment of the sport or its core values .
All teams have the same cash pot, but they get creative with signing bonuses etc. But owners are always looking to save money and maximise profits, its nothing to do with balancing the books etc. The waiting list for ownership in all US sports leagues is massive. Shows how many billionaires there are.
Already touched on this earlier in the thread. It won’t be just a case of casting the 6 clubs aside, no way will the Premier league just sit by and promote clubs from the EFL to replace them, they will incorporate the perceived bigger EFL clubs into 2 leagues ( irrespective of their current league standings)and basically the EFL can do one
I’d prefer a good old fashioned campaign myself but whatever it takes to overturn pure capitalism at the expense of democracy can be considered , maybe a revoulution ?
"Our primary purpose is to maximise revenue and profit, the wider good of the game is a secondary concern." Basically from the horse's mouth.
I think if you look deeper it will open the floodgates for the likes of Ipswich, Portsmouth, Sunderland and Sheffield Clubs to get back into the big time. Franchise systems available to the highest bidders.
Don’t know how the law stands but it ceases to be a competition when it’s invite only and targeting clubs . The whole Ethos of sport is to compete as the Munich Olympics in the 30s showed the Nazis that anyone can compete and is shown as a shining light for any sport .
Makes going up even more important this year, we could be a top 6 Prem team next year, playing Ajax in Europa League. I'm joking before I get accused of being all massive.
So lets just get t the truth, I've got to the bottom of this proposed new European Super League business. Basically, there is a chance of the super reds securing promotion this season. Big 6 clubs suddenly looking over their shoulders and getting a tad nervous, looking to avoid humiliating defeats, scampering to find away out of the prem. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
They've all signed 23-year contracts and JP Morgan have put up $5bn. This isn't just dipping a toe into the water to test the temperature, it's fully formed and ready to go. Looks very likely to me that it will happen, the only question is what the fallout from it will be.
