Initially none. But that's definitely the long term plan from Season #2 onwards.

Wouldn't be surprised if 50% of the games weren't played in their 'home country'. Which means you'll have players completely left out of the squad for Premier League games if it's a long trip to Shanghai the following Monday.

Why would Liverpool (or the others) actually need a ground in the UK? They could play in Qatar/Asia for the highest bidders for each "home" game and just travel from one stadium to the next. Proper 21st century sporting nomads.

Different tax brackets for pay as well, like in NFL. I find it bizarre they get paid weekly and taxed depending on where they play.

I hope that it is the "Northern Premier League Division One North" to which you refer - and hopefully they knock promotion back to one place from all the lower leagues for the lols.

Holloway chain of thought is a thing to behold. It would usually take 8 pints of finest Jaipur and maybe a few naughty funny smelling cigs to reach that conclusion.

The EU is to blame for the offside rule, according to Holloway

Once this is agreed on a majority national FA basis the explosion from leagues will be a natural next step.
If these clubs have signed on and they've no way out legally they'll be on the hook for billions. Basically they're in a bit of pickle.
Once expelled the only way back if accepted is via league 2 and non league teams wouldn't agree to that.

This is what must really get people's backs up, the fact they've kept all this quiet and expect to carry on as normal. Complete lack of class and decency. But they've obviously calculated that they believe they won't be sanctioned because they're 'too big to get rid of'. Anything the PL do but boot them out of the league will just look really weak. I'm not convinced they'll take action, but will instead cobble together something or other to save face...

Perhaps they want to have their cake and eat it. Seems to be a common sentiment among certain sectors of society. Also seems to be quite a common belief before they realise that they can't.

Why League 2? The EFL and the Premier League are separate entities. The only way in to the EFL is via the Conference National or by relegation from the PL. FC United started in the Northern Counties and that should be where Manchester United and Liverpool start their journey through the English footballing pyramid.

Seems the government stance is to try and stop it. "The People's Government" as the chinless Oliver Dowden put it.

I suspect not only does the populist government perceive they are screwed if they lose the vote of football fans, but I suspect from a taxation point of view, they are a little concerned that some of these clubs ultimately go overseas and just become global franchises.

It seems out of step with the mood though. It seems more that fans think these clubs have shot their bolt and want them gone.

I'm really not sure how they u-turn out of this. Their positions would be untenable. And though it may impinge on finances, it may finally press the reset button. Though the alternative could also be catastrophic implosion.

The time has come for every football supporter to come together and every player to join.
