Current Tory and Boris’s policy of running with Populists topics overrides anything previous, including the traditional Tory‘ philosophy of ‘Laissez Faire’

The competitions and markets element to it is that 6 clubs will have guaranteed income, without any jeopardy of dropping out like they do with Champions League. They will be using that income to compete against 14 teams that cannot earn their way into that income. It's monopolising the industry.

That makes more sense(to me anyways), I was looking at just in the ESL not as well as EPL.
In that example I agree it gives them unfair advantage

Any professional football club is more than a business, far too many emotional ties to a football club to be just a business, Asda is a business and I don't look forward to going there, but we have to eat, I have no allegiance to Asda, indeed, I sometimes go to Morrisons because their donuts have more jam in them, Barnsley FC is my club, I wouldn't consider watching any other club no matter what.
A business does not make your heart race, a business does not make me smile a conteted smile after a win, a business does not make me unbearable after a loss, a business does not make shed tears with happiness and unhappiness after a season of contrasting fortunes, a business does not make me sit with friends regaling each other with memories of good, bad or indifferent times as a Tarn supporter, a business does not make me dislike the middle months because footy is in close season, the business of professional football is to stir emotion, to lift us, to unite us, to dream big, to respect, to sing along with complete strangers, to share banter with other supporters, to stand in short sleeves or in winter garb and **** a snook at the elements, to stand or sit where the memories of Dad and Grandad fill your minds eye, to belong to a community that shares your belief that good times are coming soon, to be there forever enabling our own offspring to feel what we feel, LOVE.
    The football business is special.
