Fair enough. But we started going long at him again and he generally loses it. Don't get me wrong, being a target man isn't an easy job, the skills you need are quite unique. And wow, Carlton Morris has them.

I like Morris because he reminds of Ashley Ward. He can hold the ball up when it's played into his feet and turn, He can shield it with his back to goal and when the ball is in front of him. The best all round striker we've had for a few years.

Agree. I think he stands out all the more because he's pretty much the only one who isolates his defender and attacks them. We've been more about energy and percentages under Ismael, so its extremely refreshing to see an actual focal point for football to be played. Has to be a starter for the rest of the season after a performance like that.

Norwich must have some unbelievable players in their squad for him never to have had a sniff.

Morris is fantastic, if Cauley had his hold up play he would be playing in the prem easily.

I think the three main men compliment each other well. I think Cauley links up well with the midfield but Morris and Dike are the power houses.

Differing opinions here on DD, Cauley and Morris - but boy isn't that a good position to be in. Add in the Iceman and the striker pool hasn't been this good for how long (ever?)

Orlando: "Ok Daryl, Barnsley have met your agreed clause and are prepared to offer you £10k per week. We are obliged to accept their offer dependant on you agreeing terms with them. Please be aware Liverpool have also met the agreed price, and are prepared to pay you terms of £40k per week. We will respect your decision"

The very BEST we can hope for, given that will likely be the scenario, is a response along the lines of:

Daryl: "Thanks you Liverpool, I will accept the salary offer and deal, on the proviso you loan me to BFC for the first half of the season".

Morris had a lot of injury problems that’s why his career has not progressed.I think that’s why he has not started a lot of games.

Part of the problem here though is that it's no reflection on Dike's ability if his presence in the forward line encourages the rest of the side to play more hopeful balls forward, in the hope/expectation he can make something of them. I'm sure that's a subconscious (or conscious) factor and so we go more direct when he's on the field, which might not actually be playing to his strength.

I agree that I think Morris has an even greater influence on our style of play and overall effectiveness. Woodrow less so, whilst being a huge player in terms of determining how well the system works on any given day.
