During the game I was extremely impressed by the brilliant interception and pass which led to our goal. It was only on the replays that I realised it was Callum Brittain who made it. Callum Brittain, our right winger, was covering the left centre back position. I'm absolutely sure that this was no coincidence. Not only was it a fantastic bit of play in its own right, but it just reiterates what has been said before about how incredibly well organised we are as a unit. Absolutely phenomenal play.

That’s the position he plays when ever we have an attacking corner and the centre backs are in the opposition penalty area and all teams tend to use the their fastest mobile players to play the cover position in that situation and their stating position is around the centre spot depending on where the opposition has their players that are not defending the corner but yes great interception

He just needs to score. He'll get even better then with that monkey off his back. I suggest the play off final winner would be an ideal occasion.

Thanks for that, I'll try to keep an eye out tomorrow. It's things like that which go unnoticed when you're watching on TV rather than actually being there.

Would he have ousted Nicky Eaden from the 97/98 season team. Barnard on the left, Brittain on the right?

The guys defensive work has protected Sollbauer/Sibbick from coming under a lot pressure same can be said for Styles on the other flank with Anderson. Good engines.

We have been a bit vulnerable from our own set pieces.

Nicky played for several seasons and was an experienced pro by the time we were in the Premier League. Nicky Eaden at his best was better than Brittain is now. But...... I don't think Brittain would have looked out of place in that team, and he's potentially a much better player. And that's no slight on Nicky Eaden, because he was fcking brilliant for us.
