    Let's stay focused & enjoy it in the unlikely case it actually happens.

    I would have said the same about being mid table this season. That was my goal.

    An immediate relegation would be better than never been there. Aim for the sky, play your best & see where you end up. If you fall, you have still lived.

    It changes year by year but taking Norwich as an example, in 2019/20, they received £95m from the premier league. This was made up of £31.8m equal share distribution (all clubs in that year got the same), facility fee of £11.8m, merit payment (linked to finishing position) of £1.8m, overseas broadcasting revenue of £44.6m and commercial revenue of £5m.

    So that is the TV money with a small element linked to league position. This excludes all other revenue such as matchday and commercial.

    Norwich also got parachute payments of £42.6m this year. They would have received £35m next year and a further £16m the following year.

    So broadly get promoted, finish bottom and pocket £190m.
