Who would take a defeat today if it sparked a Rotherham revival which ultimately sends WRDCFC down? On the one hand I don't fancy having my nerves shredded during the last two games. On the other hand, I'm 95% sure that we've already got enough points, and I would REALLY love to see Derby get relegated. It's a tough one.
Nope. I think we need to aim for 4th or 5th to avoid Bournemouth in the semis. As lovely as it'd be to see them go down, Rotherham have such an awful run in they'd just end up as consolation points.
I'm on a tightrope. In my left hand is a three tiered wedding cake, in my right a tray of drinks for half a dozen people. It's still 200 yards to the other side. My concern for the welfare of others is currently zero.
Tough? It’s not remotely tough. No. I’d like Rotherham to stay up and Derby to go down. Nothing against the Millers at all, we are very similar clubs in many ways, similar towns, similar fan base and we cross over in many of the areas we live - and they’re a good lot, the Rotherham fans I’ve come across. I work with several. Proper club and fans. But we aren’t in the playoffs yet. We need to look after our own business. We also could finish anywhere in the third to sixth positions yet, we can effect who we play in the playoffs and whether we are home first or second. If there are fans there playing home second is an advantage you’d think. These are all things which make a huge difference. So sorry, I really wish Rotherham well and hope sincerely that they get 10 or 12 points from their last four games after today to give themselves a good chance. But I can’t hope for anything other than a win today.
That's what I reckon to be honest. Of course I'm only messing around, I hope we smash them 5-0. Looking at the fixtures though, I reckon they could lose to us and Brentford, but win the final three and stay up.
Whilst it would be hilarious to see Derby go down, especially after their ill-advised "we'll never play you again" chants barely 3 years ago, I want us to win today to make sure of our play off berth.
Just to clarify things, obviously I hope we win comfortably today. But I dislike Derby so intensely that I keep trying to find combinations of results which will send both them and Wednesday down. In fact, I'm torn as to which of those two sides I'd rather see relegated.
I'm not torn. Wednesday to get relegated all day long, and twice on Sundays. Just for the record I want SW relegated
I want it over this weekend. Rotherham i hope lose today and then go on to a run last few games they have in hand to keep them up. Its that 5% that shreds my nerves.
I hope we beat them to (almost) guarantee a place in the play offs. And I hope we do so handsomely with a drubbing. Not cos I dislike Rotherham, but a drubbing is good for us and MIGHT spark a reaction from the Millers in their remaining games that sends WRDCFC down.
I want us to win and win handsomely. A drubbing is good for us and gets us touching the finish line, and it MIGHT spark a Millers reaction for their remaining games that sends WRDCFC down
I'd love to see them stay up, but not at the expense of our potential play off place. I can see Reading beating Swansea tomorrow, so a win today will put us above Swansea too with just 2 games to go. I don't want to be going into the Norwich game needing a result. Rotherham have had 41 games to pull themselves clear, and they're stuttering over the line. It's still in their hands, but they need to start picking up points. I hope we don't do them any favours today.
I think Rotherham are due a win against one of the top six . They play Brentford Tuesday and I think that will be the one .
