What a strange thread. Have I missed something here or are Bristol City a ‘big’ club now? That’s tickled me that has.
Bristol - the only decent-sized city to have won less major trophies between their clubs than Stoke-on-Trent. That proud haul of zilch, none, nada, zero, ever, makes me think Bristol City must be huge.
Just a bit further down is this.... "About 2/3rds of the clubs above us are smaller than us and Barnsley aren't even the smallest club in the play offs." Oh the massive Bristol City all right. Remind me again when did they last play in the Premier League? Oh yeah, they haven't lol
That thread on the Bristol forum is the weirdest and most random thing I've seen in ages. Kudos to the author for freaking me out with his/her weirdo-ness tonight.
We're immature? Maybe the 12 year olds top corner on ponty are Have they never met Millwall fans? 30 year olds acting like the 12 year olds in the top corner of the ponty end
Seen it all with Bristol city. Only cross paths since 2003 when were relegated to league 1. Kids these days who know nothing about football . Bristol have only been above average since spending themselves since the 2000s.
When have they ever been a big enough club to have a go at others? The biggest underachieving city in the history of English Football.
Bristol City fans are right up there with the most deluded in the land - they genuinely believe they’re a huge club with an undisputed right to be in the Premier League. They’ve been in the top flight for a total of two years in their entire history. Wouldn’t surprise me if they expected to get an invite to the ESL. For a city of their size they’re an embarrassment.
The definition of a truly huge club - one which the European Super League inexplicably overlooked - is never having won a cracker, being based in a city obsessed with rugby, and losing at home to Luton despite being 2-0 up.
Growing up we hardly played these self proclaimed massives. The reason for this was because they were struggling in the lower divisions. Only big games that were played at Ashton Gate regularly were England under 21 games.
