Just found out from a German friend that they have no idea what a choc ice is. They do however have this thing that he says is less messy due to holding the wafer therefore better engineered
I grew up with ice cream served in a wafer sandwich but never knew you could get chocolate over one end,
Typical over-engineering. I had a Mercedes with an electric panoramic sunroof controlled by a computer. The computer packed in so it didn't work and was too expensive to fix.
Swings and roundabouts. On one hand, they have sauerkraut (pulls face)..... but on the other hand, they have flammlachs, which more than offsets the evil that is pickled cabbage.
Today's fancy ice creams beat the manky choc ices we were fed as kids. Thin 'chocolate flavoured' coating on bland white ice cream, more ice than cream. The only downside being the bellies we now have.
I remember as a kid when Cornettos first came out and that was unheard-of luxury; I don't remember anything even remotely fancy before that. Fancy was if you put a flake in a vanilla ice cream.
Are you kidding Helen lol been out for years. They are my favourite the neopolitan ones with chocolate at one end. Ive had em from Lidel and Aldis.
Saw Jay Z in Central Park and his kid had dropped the Flake from the ice cream...he had 99 problems...
I was talking to a friend of mine, an American from South Dakota. I told him I was going to get a 99, he didn't know what that was. So I said it's a whippy ice cream with chocolate flake. He still didn't get it. So I pulled up a pic online and showed him, convinced that we were just having a issue with language. But no! He'd never seen or heard of, let alone tasted one before. Fecking gobsmacked!
