I wouldn’t rest anyone. A rest before Coventry didn’t do us any favours. momentum is key. We need to go for another 6 points before the normal season is over.
No, don't rest the players. It looks like they play better when in the zone, playing twice a week. No idea about DK yet You Reds
Finishing third or fourth gives us an advantage in terms of the fixtures and momentum. If players are nursing injuries, rest them. If they're fit let's try and get 6 more points.
I’d give Styles a rest to be honest. Young player who has played a hell of a lot of games for us. May do him good.
I'd rest em as best can be done. We don't want anyone injured and the players will probably play as though they don't want to get injured We're only effective if we play 100%, so we'll be in danger of losing. And if we lose the last two with a full side, we won't have added to confidence. I'll leave it to Val though.
There is a week between games. Why do they need a rest? Two days recovery is what sports scientists advocate.
I get your thinking mate, but we don't look at our best when we have a rest. As you say leave it to the gaffer. In Val we trust
I'd definitely do whatever it takes to get Morris to full fitness. If that means a rest, then so be it.
Valerien certainly knows far better than me, so (given what he's achieved for us so far) I'll happily back any decision he makes.
The forwards are rotated anyway but anyone nursing a knock shouldn’t be starting. I’d play williams next two games and rest one of the Callum’s each time. Mads and Helik play all the time and I can’t see them struggling given its only a game a week. Solly and Sibbick are alternating a bit already. I wouldn’t rest collins, it would change the way we played. I’d consider resting Mowatt, maybe play Kane to get match fitness. But in all honesty, unless they’re nursing knocks I think everyone will play. It’s a bigger gap between fixtures. And the way we play needs the intensity in games and training to be kept up to make sure our fitness for pressing is up there. I can see us losing both remaining games as subconsciously there isn’t going to be the same desire to win everything defensively, or to close everything down in the press, so some rotation to give players chance to play themselves into the playoff team might be wise though. Whatever Val does will be right though. Pointless arguing against anything he decides given the monumental achievement of what he’s done.
Obviously it's a balance but I'd rest them and give the squad players a chance to get some game time. You don't know if we're going to need them during the play off games.
Not a bad call to give Jordan Williams a start. I wouldn't meddle with much though. Romal back in centre midfield vs Preston. Frieser should be fit for the playoffs if needed, as should Kane. Early press is harder with WMD, so maybe Chaplin to start vs Preston, maybe with Morris off the bench? Odour is out of favour, but could be an option in the front 3, depending what he is showing in training also. VI has added out of favour players before at key times to add impetus, so might be an option vs Norwich. Who knows?
We need to get some minutes in the legs of some of squad players. Cover all eventualities, we might need a few new ideas. Give the opponents a few headaches.
I wouldn't leave anyone out fully for 2 games. We have to weigh up the momentum, balance and confidence with the team and the focus with risk of injuries and red cards. For me i would rest a small number for each game and shorten the game time for a few key players. I think players like Mowatt, Brittain who have played a lot of minutes need a rest and perhaps Woodrow, Dike and Morris may be better off with fewer minutes than Chaplin, Adebeyojo and maybe give a young un some minutes up front. Wonder how Frieser will be and also will we see anything from Kitching this season?
