Love the bloke. The biggest impression a loan signing has made since McBurnie. He is nowhere near ready to start week in week out for any of the biggest clubs in the country though.
Wish people would stop it with this “expected goals” statistic. It means nothing if the ball isn’t in the net.
Dortmund. I don’t know why, I just think he’ll end up there. Hopefully via Barnsley on a permanent deal.
Neither do the number of shots. Or possession. Or any other statistics about a match. Let's ignore it all cos it must be meaningless, right?
Problem is, £20m is peanuts to most PL teams. Probably worth it, just to stop him going to the competition.
He scores different kinds of goals which is always summat extra in my opinion cant see the 1 against brum being the only yeboah goal he scores and when you can do that your a match winner.
One of the most informative statistics that exists, expected goals. Tells you a hell of a lot about a player/team.
I think the sky's the limit for him but I hope he chooses his best move carefully.. Just being a top 6 player because you've been bought to stop other clubs getting you could be detrimental to his career.
but he'll probably have £5m in the bank by the time he's 25. No one would turn that down at that age, unfortunately for us.
I think the best we can hope for is we get promoted, he’s bought by one of the top 6 and they loan him to us to continue his development / increase his value.
Why don't we pay the £14 million. Agree a contract with the wages he demands and sell him straight away? A bit like the deals Watford and Wolves have done in the past to make a quick buck.
cos there's always a chance he could get crocked in pre season and we're stuck paying £30k a week for him, I suppose.
