Totally deserved that one. I think Farke missed out last season in the championship, hence them going with him. Stops any managerial curse for the play offs I suppose!

Well played Alex. Richly deserved after a very consistent season and leading from the front

    Very much deserved, huge congratulations.

Probably could have had others in there but maybe shouldn’t be greedy.

Can’t really argue at the players included. I don’t watch that many games other than ours, so I don’t know who is performing well consistently. If any of our players should be included, it’s Mowatt. Our player of the season, in my opinion.

Bit of a joke with Farke, though. They’ll win the league and they’ll have done it well, but they were favourites. Ismael has come in and taken us from being a side that just stayed up on the last game of the season, to play-off contenders.

That's a good team. No room for Saar in there. Thought Helik might stand a chance but there's about 50+ centre halves to pick from.

Fully deserved, puts the professional back into professional footballer. Although, to be fair, most of his colleagues do too, but imho Mowatt's influence on the team, his hard work and dedication, is just as important as Val's. When Val first came in he regularly subbed Mowatt with 20 minutes or so remaining of the game. He doesn't anymore. He didn't believe a player could continue to give as much in the final 20 minutes as Alex had in the first 70. But he'd never met Alex Mowatt.

Yes i am biased but i would have thought Helik would be ahead of Cardiff's Morrison.

I suppose it’s no surprise Val isn’t manager of the year, when Millwall can win family club of the year, and goal of the season can be given to a punt from the halfway line that only goes in because the keeper falls over his own feet..

Still, let’s go for the proper prize...

Helik should be in there. He would be my divisional player of the season.

Well done Alex fully deserved what a great player he’s been for us these past 3 seasons. A truly great Pro. I have to laugh when I think back at some posts on here not too long ago, I’ve defended him against ridiculous things posted such as he’s too slow in his thinking and doing. Not mobile enough etc.

    Well done Alex, fully deserved.
Reading up on the process wonder if it worked against us in that a local media person picks his best 11 based on a 4 3 3 system.

A great story of perseverance and application dusted with a bit of magic. When he arrived and pretty much failed and was out on loan at Oxford it would have taken a real optimist to think he could recreate the early form he showed in his Leeds days.

Wind forward and an inspirational skipper, a promotion, a survival and a top 6 championship finish. In many ways Alex’s revival is very similar to that of the club. Richly deserved accolade and hopefully not the end of the journey.

I don't see why they don't wait until the end of the play-offs before doing this, there are performances to be made (including the managers) that can still make a difference between promotion or not
