It'd be so exciting to see what youngsters we'd bring in. I'd expect there to be the usual mix of players we've never heard of but who have great potential.

    ...maybe bring Hourihane home too?

I think we would utilise the loan market more than we have & Dane hinted that we are opening other avenues of recruitment when talking about the Dike deal recently , it will be interesting what ever league we are in next season , that is for sure

Yes was just if we went up, I'm not sure how he would fare in the prem but he is still young and we would have no chance of signing a proven Premiership goalscorer if we did go up as they would be well out of our budget.

Agree with a lot of that. But imho. Walton has the makings of a quality goalkeeper. And dare I say it. Better than Collins. (no disrespect) Just my opinion. I think Val gave the shirt to collins based on results during his (Collins) early tenure during the cup games and Decided to keep him in. It's not a substitution area. Very difficult to swap round constantly. Only time I've known that. was when England kept swapping Clemence and Shilton.

I agree. I think Walton will be a great keeper, just not sure he will ever play the sweeper keeper role like Collins does.

Tbh mate. I think clubs have got wiser to that tactic. Sweeper/keeper as shown on several occasions lately. Panic mode causing bother.

If we go up, and I mean if, then Daryl Dike must be the marquee signing.

    For me m
For me conner would be my first signing and build a team around him, who we would buy to make that happen i dont know, but i would sooner build a team around conner than mowett i dont think mowett will ever be a prem player.

Patson Daka would be a good one from Salzburg, young rapid striker banging them in, bags of potential and resale value.
    We can dream.

As much as I love Conor I don’t think he would fit in to our system, his twiglight years are approaching & with the 3 sub rule in the Prem we need players with younger legs.

As I said above, Dike is signing number 1, he has to be priority, then build It around him.

If we got promoted one or two loans could be okay, but I'd hope we would use the extra revenue to recruit young players already good enough for the championship then even if the worst happens and we drop the same year we have a strong enough squad to challenge again.

Dane has said in interviews a couple of times now that with Brexit it is harder to bring players from the EU than it was before, meaning they have had to reassess.

If promoted though we'd suddenly have a raft of European players available to us. The calibre would go up and likely include internationals from some of the less fancied nations. I still think we'll favour domestic signings though.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong though as it would mean we've won the playoffs!
