Thought Struber was on his way out when I saw the thread headline.

It's definitely been pretty rough. Sorry you've had to go through all that. Being the epicentre of it for the US wasn't helped by Cuomo flooding the care homes though was it? Still amazes me how someone who made such a terrible decision could then be nominated for a Grammy. Really strange one in my eyes.

I know through friends that central New York has been operating with higher/stronger restrictions than out of town. It was terribly sad seeing all those iconic businesses closed and the record number of job losses within hospitality alone - think it was over 500,000? Picking back up now though which is important.

Free jab at the ground. Isn't that like Ryanair's 'Jab and Go'?

Agree with all that. And twice on this thread we have seen reference to the 'raging pandemic'. If you repeat something enough... We are at a point now where people should be trusted to take personal responsibility. It is also up to someone whether they want the vaccine or not, they have responsibility over their own bodies and what they put in it. As you say, just because someone doesnt want the vaccine doesn't make that person irresponsible. To suggest it is just creates more divide, and this govt are doing a fine job of dividing and ruling.

    Yes it is.

I can't enjoy shopping anymore and it really puts me off going to places like the cinema.

Cheers. I mean comparatively I've been really lucky - haven't been back to the UK though since Christmas 2020, strange being away from family for so long.

The US political scene is a joke, every step closer we take to emulating this in the UK is a huge backwards step. No bigger criminal in all this for me than Johnson, no words for me feelings for his lies and utter incompetence. Claims he couldn't have seen it coming, I called my mum 2 and half weeks before the UK did anything and told her to stay in the house - so that's clearly b******s.

Midtown is still quite strange, it'll all be back. I know people who moved to Texas for a while and said they were going to stay..........but a couple of days in NY in the sun, that attitude quickly changes!

The Blossom band are on MOTDX tonight. Buggered if I know why? If they’re as good as the Gin variety, they’ll be not bad.
