Over the last 10 games AFC Bournemouth: 21 points Barnsley: 19 points Brentford: 18 points Swansea: 11 points We've lost three games in that time, as have Bournemouth. Swansea have lost half those last 10. And whilst Brentford haven't lost any of those games, they've drawn six of them. Also, before anyone suggests I've only used the last 10 games as it paints us in a better light than it might if I extended it, those last 10 games began with our win at Bournemouth. We won seven and drew one of the eight prior to that. Only Norwich and Watford come close to us this year for results/points. And they're already up. One by one.
Last time we played Bournemouth we won. Last time we played Brentford we won. Last time we played Swansea in the play-offs, we won!
I'm actually pretty relaxed about it all. Whatever happens, whichever division we're in next season, this team has performed miracles and I'm excited for what comes next.
Cant see point of these stats, we will play our game, if its good enough and a bit of luck thrown in, we could get the job done
I’m the polar opposite, I’m nervous as hell. I know we should just enjoy the moment as we never expected this, but I’m feeling a lot of pressure.
Difficult to assess form as one the play offs are secure nobody knows how serious teams are taking the rest of the games. Personally I’m pretty relaxed about the play offs, obviously I hope we win them, but if we don’t, we have exceeded my expectations for the season already , the positivity surrounding the club and the positivity from outside means we would be in a great position to recruit and strengthen for next year.and it’s good to be a Barnsley fan again.
I thought nerves got the better of us against Rotherham. It was a poor performance and we had no right to win the game (we had no right to win the famous Bradford game either but no one ever says anything about that). I care not a jot about the Preston match. Despite his public address, I doubt Val does either. We were also very poor at Coventry (Birmingham) but it was flanked by two of our best and most dominant performances of the season. We murdered Middlesbrough and Huddersfield. Prior to the Coventry game we'd lost 1 in 16 league games, winning 11 of them. The idea that we're in poor form is simply ludicrous. Will that be enough to get us through the play-offs? No, it will not. We're competing against three fantastic teams and we'll have to be at our very best to do it, and maybe even rely on them having a bad day. But we've got a chance. A real chance. We deserve to be there and we're bang in form. Now can everyone please stop this interminable wittering. It's not an attractive trait and it's becoming tedious. This is as good as gets. It's been an amazing season. Enjoy it.
Showed that to my mate earlier, who thinks we're in bad form. And he said it proved his point. Three defeats in 20. With 13 wins. In the second tier. It's the best run of form we've probably ever had.
