Who doesn't love a dunnock though? Underrated garden bird.

I've been around the Ceredigion area before and seen absolutely loads of them, majestic birds. You see quite a few round Oxfordshire and Wiltshire too. Closest I got to one was when it literally divebombed for roadkill just as my car got there and as it lifted off again it clipped the roof of my car. Can't believe the missus didn't catch it on camera as well!!!

We visited Picton Castle which had an owl sanctuary in it and because the place was absolutely empty, the handlers flew some of them for us. I could watch Barn Owls all day every day quite gladly ;-)

Thought I'd share my gardening pal with the fellow tykes twitchers. Not rare or unusual, just makes me smile.
