Barnsley should be made to send Daryl Dike back to America because Rotherham’s strikers are all dogs hit and Barnsley are getting an unfair advantage.

And Messi should play for everyone. It's not fair that he only plays for one team. And we should all be the king.

So going forward are we going to stop team who having bigger followings allowing all their to fans to go as it will give them a unfair advantage?

We should be allowed at our home leg even if Swansea cannot have fans at their ground. That's the fair way to do it.

If we are allowed fans then we should make every advantage we can from it.

I don't see it like that, but I get your point.

I'm not really sure if 4500 fans in a 23,000 ground is actually an advantage anyway. Especially spread out and probably not allowed to create an atmosphere.

I agree but, as another poster pointed out, it might be more advantageous to us, not to have our fans at Oakwell ;)

Yeah they have done alright without us and we might spoil things. Swansea play in the English league so England rules will state fans can come back. If they don't like it they can have a word with Drakeford or go play in their own national league.

I don't get their point at all on this. It'I don't get their point at all on this. It's really not our problem that Wales have imposed different rules. Swansea need to take that up with the Welsh Assembly.

I can see both sides to this. On one hand, it's a spectator sport, and a precedent was set earlier in the season where some clubs were allowed fans in the stands and other not. On the other, there is the sporting integrity of the competition to take into consideration, and conditions should be as close to fair as is possible.

The second point is not just about fans in the ground either. This past few seasons have seen VAR used in FA Cup/League Cup matches payed at Premier League grounds, but not elsewhere. I've always thought that gives the sides played with VAR an advantage over those played without it(or vice-versa, depending on your view of VAR). It's the same with cricket and rugby, too. Televised games are played with DRS/Video ref in play, while others are not which takes the random human element out of the officiating, which again does not seem fair. All or nothing for me.

Our fans will be singing for Connor Hourihane all game anyway so it wouldn’t be that much of a home advantage

The absence of fans has been a huge leveller this season. Some grounds haven't been as hostile and intimidating to visit and there's been more away wins than usual. I'm convinced it's one of the reasons why we've done so unexpectedly well. The 5 substitute thing has also been beneficial for a high pressing team like ourselves. I think a whole season should be contested under the same conditions/rules, so it should be finished without any crowds. There certainly shouldn't be one semi final with a crowd and one without. I didn't think last season should have been resumed (as it was without fans, with different sub rules etc) even though that would have meant we were relegated using PPG.

Looking highly likely that the welsh government will allow fans in at Swansea as a “pilot” for future reopening.

Same if Newport get to playoffs.

Expecting both games to have fans in the ground

Some bonkers replies. We've done well without fans. O'reight. let's play without in the premier ( if we get there) Cos without fans it's a leveller. Anyone wishing to not have fans to oblige swansea. I assume you'll not be applying for tickets. Good, I'll stand a better chance of getting one. The EFL have already said there will be no fans at either game, if. The rules in wales don't change. But are hopeful that might change.
So us silly fckuers have to wait. Till the Welsh assembly make up their mind. We will find out on the 10th ( monday) How many fans are allowed back. In England.
The Premier already agreed on a max of 10k ( no away fans) for the last 2 games. Each club having one home game left. Imagine if Swansea or Cardiff had been in the premier. Do you think they would have put obstacles in the way. Thought not.
