So we played the best team in the league, had a great performance and drew 2-2 without Mowatt.

I don’t want to lose Mowatt this summer, but it does go to show, we can do ok without him.

Today was only a one off game. That was a young Palmer and a young Moon playing out of position.

I agree with you that they both looked comfortable but let’s not understate what Mowatt offers to our team. He’d be a huge loss and it would take a large sum of money to get an ample replacement in my opinion.

I think today has shown us what we've always known in that we're a great team and we're greater than the sum of our parts. I'm sure we'll continue to progress with or without Mowatt (and that isn't a slight against him).

I think kane is his long term replacement but if he leaves we definatly need another center midfielder.

Id agree with that, forever getting the replacement in first. Just like I think Kitching will be Andersen’s replacement when the clubs start to circle for him.

I think should Mowatt leave in the summer, and he probably will if we are still in this division, we’ll probably need to sign 2 central midfielders. Unless either Halme or Moon converts full time.

I think Styles position is lwb for us now. I think it’s quite telling that whenever we’ve needed to move a wing back into central midfield, it’s usually been Brittain.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Styles having a run in midfield. As good as he’s been this season, I don’t think he’s particularly suited to LWB role. Get’s caught out of position too often for me. My opinion of course.

Mine n'all. Was surprised we didn't start with styles in midfield and Williams lwb. But i suppose going into the play offs Val doesn't want to move him around. But if Mowatt leaves. I think Styles is his natural replacement.

I hope Alex is fit to play in the play offs and it's not the last we have seen of him. On the plus side how proud we all should be that our two guys in the heart of midfield both came through our academy and had really good games.

    Exactly. It’s very encouraging.

I’m not saying Mowatt wouldn’t be a loss - he’s a great player. But I think we have his long term replacements already in the club.

If we stay in the Champ, his head will be screwed. As most likely, if he signed for another Champ club, it’ll be one that based on this season, ain’t as good as us - a step backwards as such. It’ll just be a bigger wage (nothing wrong with that). That won’t have been in his reckoning earlier this season
