Not a good one. Not a good one at all. Will be Team Canelo on this sofa.

Let us hope it's so, although 1/6 is not a working man's price!

Canelo is the best in the world. If Saunders was any other nationality we wouldn't be giving him a prayer. I've taken points at 13/8

Canello hasn’t faced anyone since FM who has footwork like BJS. This fight is a lot closer than people think, Billy is an excellent fighter. The problem for Billy is that he needs a knockout, he won’t win on points over in America. He’s built for 12 rounds though, and I can see canello getting clipped in the 12th round.

really looking forward to this one.

Daniel Jacobs has decent footwork? Really light on his feet, throws a lot of punches per fight, quick, agile, etc. BJS might shade the footwork stakes but doesn't have the speed or power of Jacobs at all. When did BJS last trouble a top level fighter with his power?

I think he's a good fighter, but what performance makes you think he's an excellent one? Be interesting to see if he maintains an output for 12 rounds because even those he's done 12 rounds many times he isn't famed for having a huge engine.

I don’t think he’s got much of a chance at all.

If you look at his best wins he always fades badly in the second half of fights & gets tagged a lot more.

I just can’t see a Saunders that doesn’t live well & bloats in weight between fights been able to take the body shots Canelo dishes out the longer the fight goes on.

Saunders might be looking ok after 3 or 4 rounds as Canelo’s not traditionally a fast starter & Saunders is sharp early doors but I wouldn’t be getting carried away if he is.

And on top of that Canelo’s a brilliant fighter, the best in the sport in any division. He’d probably win comfortably enough anyway even if Saunders doesn’t fade.

Probably the least likeable in British boxing. Numerous suspensions from the board, some incredibly stupid videos, a positive drugs test & a very questionable friendship.

Did you see the interview he did this week? Must have been for a foreign TV channel but answered every single question by including 'and your breath stinks'. He's an embarrassment and I can't stand him.

Same. It’s just not funny is it? I get when fighters say & do daft things to sell PPV’s like Bellew, Haye & Chisora but he’s just needlessly an arsehole to decent people.

His attitudes horrendous. Ballooning up to 15 stone between fights & fell out with Jimmy Tibbs over it. Gets his buddy Ben Davison in as coach & nearly loses in a leisure centre in Scotland. Goes to Dom Ingle, dedicates himself & puts in a career best performance against Lemieux in Canada but decides that’s not for him so goes back to looking far from his best in recent fights where you can guarantee he’s not lived the life. Even as a two weight world champion it feels like he’s wasted his talent. I can’t believe it’s taken him over 12 years to finally fight a proper world class fighter. There’s been so many pull outs & license suspensions & fall outs. Most of the fighters he turned over at the same time as like Groves, DeGale, Gavin have all finished their careers a couple of years ago.

I know nothing about boxing, but I was reading about Saunders earlier in the week - I hope he gets his head smashed off his shoulders. The fücking prïck.

Video 1: this is how to give your wife a good hiding. Video 2: offering a drug addicted woman £50 to do whatever sexual/humiliating things.

May Saunders get turned into dog meat.

Jacobs does have decent footwork but I don’t think he’s a patch on Saunders’ and he’s extremely hard to catch. He’s underrated, and the amount of top level fighters in that division that have ducked him over the years tells you that.

I kinda agree on where you say what fight shows he’s an excellent one, because he’s not had an opportunity at the top level. I guess you could say he’s untested at the top table but I think he’s an excellent boxer. I don’t think he’s particularly great on the eye for the fair weather boxing fan, but if your a purist and you’ve been in the ring before you have to give billy enormous levels of credit.

I think he’ll do it, his style is a style that Alvarez has struggled against in the past. Hopefully he’ll get Canelos respect early on and we’ll get an excellent fight. My monies on Saunders though.

I don't think Saunders has dedicated himself to the sport enough to be honest. I'm also not sure he's been ducked? The one fight that would have put him on the map was against Andrade and he failed a drug test for it and made negotiations difficult. Other than Eubank JR the only fighter he's continually called out is Canelo, but every fighter does that because it's the biggest pay day.

He strikes me a little bit like Dillian Whyte. Yaps a lot about being avoided but has walked away or made fights difficult himself to make. Maybe because he doesn't really think he belongs at the top table, and similar to Smith and Kell Brook this is his cash out fight? We'll soon see.

Lemieux really is the best name on his record and I don't rate Lemieux at all. He could punch which got him out of trouble in two or three fights and allowed him to extend his career, but that was always a fight that Saunders should have been walking with ease because it was a boxer against a plodder. Fair play to him for the win though. But what's his best win after that? Willie Monroe? An Andy Lee who knew he was pretty much finished?

He's performed badly so many times and bored people to tears. I consider myself a boxing purist who doesn't need to see the knockout, which is why Canelo is just phenomenal to watch, but BJS isn't good to watch at all.

Honestly can’t think of a fighter that’s ducked Saunders. Saunders himself pulled out of fights with Golovkin but then when he did finally agree to fight Golovkin, Golovkin got the Canelo fight instead.

He fought Eubank, Ryder & Lee. He blew the Andrade fight. Can’t remember seeing him & Charlo’s names linked with each other. I don’t really know who else he’s been linked with where the fight didn’t happen. His biggest enemy has been his own lack of discipline,

You make some good points and I can understand your way of thinking. As you say we’ll get our answers in the early hours.

4-2 Canelo if I'm being generous.

Saunders started very slowly. Came to life the last couple of rounds though. Froch, and anyone, scoring Round 4 to BJS is just nuts.
