I get it's not the club that makes the rules that we have to follow but find it strange that no catering facilities will be available for the game under pilot event when catering facilities would be open once get back to some normality.

Not really when you think about it. (I hadn't) They'd be required to have table service. Not really feasible when you factor in the one way systems etc and minimising indoor communal areas.

So we'll have a bigger average attendance than Wednesday this year.

Sounds about as fun as a smack in the face.

Well done lads for relaying the info. Well done to the club for trying to navigate their way through these rules and keep fans informed. As has been the case throughout the Covid crisis, the club have been top class, and fans have supported them as best as they can.

But I can't think of a situation that could be as ludicrous as this. We think we're an intelligent species. We're really, really not. We're a stain on the universe. Diarrhoea.

    It'll feel like a pre-season friendly, 4500 fans rattling about in a 23k stadium.

No thanks, big screen int garden with a beer.

Yep. 600 people are welcome to cram into Morrisons at ecclesfield, hundreds can pack the aisles in Primark yet only a few thousand can sit outside to watch a game of football in what is frankly an absolute massive open air stadium designed exactly for that purpose despite the government telling us repeatedly that there is lots of evidence showing that the virus is dispersed outside.

Of it was an indoor opera they'd allow a 50% capacity, if it was a hunt they'd probably allow 100%.

And people lap it up, roll over and wait for Boris to tickle their bellies

    It’s ridiculous.

By all accounts, it’s a 10,000 capacity at Wembley too.

I’m not what you mean about this part as it is designed to cram as people in as possible. The seats are so narrow that you can be as outside as you want but when I normally have parts of people (arms and legs) literally sticking into my sides and on top of me all match then if someone had coronavirus then I’d 100% be getting it. It won’t happen because the effort and cost that would be involved, and the obvious reduction in capacity, but I’d bloody love it if seats had to be slightly bigger. I hate when there is someone sat either side of me at Oakwell, it makes me really uncomfortable, but then I’ve never liked people touching me.

Right - we know the rules and how the club is implementing them.
These aren’t going to change unless the “Welsh” rule applies - time to work with them and get behind the Reds.
Would love a ticket but will give them my all from home if necessary.

Does anyone know if it is all or nothing re Wales? For example if the WA let Swansea have it as a test event and limit it to 2,000 would we have to do the same? Or is the point that fans in is fans in and we can go to 4500?

Same as Swansea. Same going forward too. So if we're promoted, when we play Man Utd away they're only allowed as many fans into Old Trafford as the capacity at Oakwell. And the Welsh Assembly will be given carte blanche to change the laws in any country in the world. And football clubs will spend most of their budget not on playing staff, but on tetris experts employed to best fit the supporter bubbles into their stands keeping a two seat barrier to other bubbles.

All around me are familiar faces, worn out places, worn out faces

Play offs to be used as test events in Wales according to SSN, so fans in.

I assume that will be the case. Bournemouth are allowed just over 2k because of safety guidelines. Brentford on the 25% capacity rule. so I
assume 4k+. Guess the ground must fulfil all the safety guidelines. ?
The EFl stated fairness in allowing fans in. I don't think numbers come into it.
