Seen some clubs posting about their retained list. Anybody have any ideas when ours might be released? Not that it matters much as Mowatt is the only permanent first team player out of contract Perhaps the playoffs will delay matters a little, but just curious.
Has there been a rule past sometime in the past few years that say clubs have to announce said "Retained List"? I can't remember any clubs doing it back past 3 or 4 years ago, then suddenly they started popping up all over the place. Is it a case of they have always been submitted, but not publicised in the way they are now, or is it a new thing the clubs have to do?
It may not have been called a retained list, but going back 30+ years, I can recall the star and Chronicle listing who were being let go or had chosen not to re-sign at all levels of the playing staff.
