    Clearly goaded but still no excuse to be getting into a fight with someone. Just walk away! Shouldn't have to put up with that, though.

    If there's more to it that shows one of these knobs physically starting on him, then fair enough.

    I honestly don’t get what would go through someone’s head to film themselves goading someone else on. What does it actually achieve apart from showing everyone you’re a pr1ck with roughly 2 brain cells.

    I guess they’ve done it for the reaction and got one from McBurnie. Poor all round.

    Still not sure we've seen the full chain of events. Could be a filmed response after the assault. I'm not trying to defend what Oli has or hasn't done either, as I've not seen all the facts. But this idea that people should have to accept that, I just don't get. If someone is hurling that kind of abuse at someone in broad daylight, and filming it, for no other reason than they don't like a footballer, then they shouldn't be too surprised if they end up getting a winder.

    Like I say though, not seen all the facts so I don't have a clear opinion either way

    Whilst that is true, if someone is going to assault someone else then they shouldn’t be too surprised if they get arrested. Actions have consequences on both sides.

    For me, the adult thing to do would have been to walk away, the fun thing to do would have been to talk to the idiot and take the pi SS.

    all that said, if this results in criminal charges, when thousands of burglaries go unpunished that’s a farce. And I have no sympathy whatsoever for the ‘victim’ here.

    In fact, thinking about the legal system we have, why it exists and it’s origins, the matter should end with a magistrate addressing the victim with ‘you definitely deserved it though didn’t you?’

    Edit to add: that’d be the correct lesson to come out of this. Because otherwise, every other inarticulate chav is gonna believe that goading people for ‘fun’ might end up with their chosen victim being charged for assault.
