You have to choose who to add though, it wasn't already there. So I put in me and it asked who else I wanted from a few ST holders that I've bought tickets for or done Oakwell events with in the past. Clicked on my son's and was good to go. Confirmation email sent out a minute after with who's in the ballot.

I'm not sure how hard it is to split 12 people into 2 groups of 6 with one person in each group applying for that group's tickets?
Did you put the same people onto lots of applications to maximise chances or something? I'm a bit confused as to why it's caused so much difficulty?

I hope that the application that we have managed to submit is successful and then there's an opportunity for the others to still buy tickets.

But my sentiment stands, if non season ticket holders get tickets before all season ticket holders have had chance to either buy online, phone or attend box office then the club haven't been true to their word, rewarding loyalty far more important than selling 3 or 4,000 ******* tickets

I guess the whole timing issue is the real difficulty for people. The comms I have found pretty good. It’s is simple enough when booking just to add just yourself (or up to 6 from the network) into the ballot. It could be easy enough to just book individuals. If it needs new networks to be created then it adds some complexity but I guess if individuals were picking tickets from box office for friends there would also have to be communication between the members on who wants what. It’s an unusual circumstance, short window and I’m sure this amplifies the frustration.

... as for non ST holders it seems that’s never been in the plan so a mute point.

Don't get where you're coming from. Why on earth would anyone miss out that's applied if the number isn't reached.

My question still stands, why do you think this is happening?
    It isn't.
If you've cocked up the applications of ST holders, go and sort it out. Don't blame people who aren't getting a ticket, or people who aren't giving them a ticket!

Seriously, what are you going on about? How does this even happen in your own mind? It's virtually impossible.

    Just sorted mine.

I applied for 4 tickets this morning, someone else wanted to be apart of our bubble which was a little curve ball. But like you say, logged on withdrew my earlier application and resubmitted with 5 instead of 4. So simple and easy, took seconds.

Its not about trying to cheat the ballot ffs, we understand that the tickets are in short supply and there has to be a system, just not easy to organise in advance a unique group of 6 when there's 15 plus and some aren't online a lot.

If we miss out I accept its been tough for the club to arrange. But if they allow non season ticket holders a chance before some of the season ticket holders (Im speaking for more than just my group) get another go, then there will be bitterness.

I'm really struggling to see what you're not getting here.
There's 8000 ST holders and 4500 seats. (ish)
If 6000 ST holders are in the ballot, 1500 of them will be disappointed, and no non-ST holders get a ticket.
If 3000 ST holders are in the ballot, they all get tickets, and then 1500 non ST holders will get a chance.

There isn't a scenario where a non ST holder gets a ticket where a ST holder who wanted one misses out.

I guess the problem S.M. has is one person has to organise it if you have 12 people, they all have to agree to be split into 2 groups and allow one person to make the booking for each group. What shouldnt happen though and it sounds like it has in SM's case is with no central planning various people have submitted other peoples names with no organisation then chaos ensues - It sounds like SM's name is in the ballot but he doesnt know who sent it in - Just had a quick look in my ticketing account and I can't see that I am in the lottery but I know I am as I was forwarded a copy of the confirmation by the lead person. I suspect if I was to try and enter I would get the blocked message but I am not going to try in case I break something

But ST holders have had first chance. Have the folk in your group had the email saying who's in the ballot? Surely then any who are missed off just apply together after that, there's still time.

I don’t know why you keep bringing this up. There is no plan to sell to non-season ticket holders. It’s not been in the plan and never has. I think the main thing now is to not panic and bite your nails while the ballot runs and see whether your in or out. If your in, great you did actually sort the entry correctly, if your out you didn’t get picked, but you were in the ballot. Either way you had as fair a chance as anyone one else in it.

I'm hoping the penny finally drops at this point. Otherwise there really is no further comment anyone can make.

    THIS BIT IS NOT HAPPENING
IF YOU DON'T GET A TICKET IT IS NOTHING TO DO WITH NON SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

if only 3000 ST holders apply then all ST holders will get a ticket. Not sure what club would do with the other 1500, maybe ballot non ST holders. But if less than 4500 ST holders apply then no ST holder can moan about not getting one.
