Apologies if previously posted but there's a great interview with him on the Sky website. https://www.skysports.com/football/...arnsley-sensation-tearing-up-the-championship
Nice piece that, thanks for posting. Think we’ve been very lucky to have Dike even if it ends after the next 3 games
What a guy. Hope we go up and keep him long term, build a team around him. But he'll play at the very top, I have no doubt.
You’ve got to wonder if we had any influence on him getting on the pitch for the USA? His team mates at Orlando had been preparing him for a move to Barnsley for what looks like a while. The club clearly had everything in place to move within 24 hrs of him walking onto the pitch for his National team. It strikes me, that could have been a lot of nugatory effort if he’d not played in that game.
We're all just guessing but I would assume we'd done our due diligence and probably had word from the US Head Coach that he was likely to make his debut. With friendlies you almost always know which players you're going to bring on and give their debuts - especially the youngsters.
Wonder if he's an M&S devotee like Val when he visits the store!? Good that he's able to have some interaction with the locals, it must still feel really weird for him under Covid restrictions, shows a very PMA that he's not suffering from homesickness big time.
