Monday will be the strangest event I think I've witnessed in Football. A home game where fans can say thank you to the players and staff for a great season. But in what could be a one and only live opportunity. Weird that. It could be the first and only time some players hear and see from the fans. Its a moment of excitement but still weird. To add, it will carry some sadness and disappointment that only a select few will witness it live. Many hardened 'attend every game' fans, loyal supporters and families will be supporting also but from afar. This isn't good and we should remember this event carry some high and low emotions but all around a common positive topic. Thats Weird. Then we have to remember irrespective of the fan situation we are playing for a multi million dollar prize. To achieve something that could be argued is a once (maybe twice) in a lifetime opportunity. Unexpected and strange. In fact weird. Then the downer again. Our lives have changed over the past 1.5 seasons. Some loved ones lost, normal life has a new normal. Jobs and family life changed. The world is in the balance. Sad and Weird. This is a homecoming but not as we would expect.
Indeed, the weirdest thing is a reference to a currency, different to the one we'd receive the reward in.
