Anyone but Sunderland. Blackpool is always a good day out. Lincoln isn't someone we've played much for decades. Oxford are a good set of fans as we know from playing them at Oakwell South.
In this order as one who goes to away games. Blackpool.. great day out. Sunderland. Mostly friendly like minded fans. Oxford. better than lincoln. Lincoln. O'reight for lincoln Xmas market. Some horrible fans with a pointless point to prove (still a throwback to the seventies) . Smashed up a couple of tarn busses last time we played em. 2009.
Unfortunately there has recently been a reemergence of the Lincoln fans with a new generation trying to make a name for themselves. Lincoln Market doesn’t exist anymore
Tbf hope the xmas market gets re established after the last few problematic yrs. Weather/Covid. Article Subject to government restrictions, the council intends for the Lincoln Christmas Market to go ahead, taking place from 2-5 December, 2021. Re the fans. We played Alfreton in a pre.-season friendly 2012 . Police all over the place. Why. ?. A. Lincoln had been the week before and ran amok.
Lincoln definitely. Special mention for Kenny Dougall though, who's been pretty much an ever present in midfield for Blackpool
Sunderland for me , as Hookey feller says friendly like minded fans . Always been good banter at the Durham Miners and Yorkshire miners galas with them . Lots settled down this way after Durham pit closures and lots went back after the York’s area was butchered .
Yes mate, my apologies. I didn’t make it clear. Edited the post. I always associate the Lincoln market as the famous Xmas one. Never been to the central one.
Sunderland for me. I have a very very dear and close friend who is a Sunderland supporter. He moved "back home" to South Shields a couple of years ago, and I haven't seen him for close to 2 years due to the pandemic.
Blackpool away NYD would be great fun. The other season Sunderland had that pleasure and took 7,000 and NYE they took over the town and drank some places dry that had to shut before midnight.
The only way I'd want Sunderland to stay in that league (or below) longer is if they added Wednesday to their name.
