I don't think there normally is. I'm basing that answer purely on the court battle New Balance and Nike had over the Liverpool contract. If it were the case, Nike would have just activated the "release" clause instead of waiting for the old deal to be up. Even then, NB had a right to match the offer(which they did in terms of cash, but couldn't match the number of retail stores Nike can stock the products in)...

    edit:

I'd also have though the contract will have different values attached to the level of football the club is playing(which affects the amount of products they could expect to sell). Go up, and the value will be higher, go down and it will be worth less...

Just so long as it doesn't look anything like Man u's zebra kit which is hideous.

And Weston Park Cancer Charity all season. It would be fitting.

Then you ought to at least recall I was the one who raised that particular thread. I attempted to gauge opinion of like minded folk on false marketing. Instead I got disingenuous replies including yourself.

Whilst I admire what you do through the media side of the club and that's a big up from me. Don't make me out to be a moaner. Only you know your full intentions. But your response quite frankly was an affront to me.

one who cares about the club. Also the fans who bought the white strip in good faith like they've always done in the way it was marketed.

I would have brought it up at a fan engagement if one was to take place. (And will at the next ) and the responses were of like mind. Instead it got gatecrashed. By folk who weren't bothered . Including yourself btw. In the lack of knowledge of the marketing. When I produced the photo. That thread stopped. Including no response from yourself btw.

You're doing your bit for the environment. My son gets a new shirt ( or sometimes 2) every season now he's bothered about Barnsley. In primary he was wearing his sister's old ones . I think football shirts are great for kids, they wash really well, dry quickly and dont need ironing are hard wearing and are easy to spot your kid in as they tend to be bright colours.

It’s down to the officials at the end, after both club’s administration teams, kit men etc have liaised with each other.

We are playing in our full home kit against Swansea, both legs. As no clash. But they’re wearing their away kit tomorrow. It’s all very confusing.

I don’t recall it buddy, as I’ve already said, not in its entirety anyway. Just vaguely. And whilst I do recognise most bbs posters, having been on here for two decades, I don’t remember each and every thread or who said what.

What I will do, is absolutely make sure that when you are next at a fan engagement meeting, and you raise this topic, that whoever of us attending from the club have proper answers for you.

I corrected myself lil. On this particular issue alone. I had the right to challenge him. Given his reply. He says it wasn't aimed at me. ( read his response again I read through it. maybe you didn't ) Fine. It doesn't excuse his response. Given our past discussions on the issue. I would have hoped YT at least would have taken the point on board and actually put it to the club. I'm pretty sure Beth. Who reads this forum and knows me very well. Will take it on board as a genuine question about marketing.
The response was unwarranted by whitey. Given the history.
The arrogance stems from last time.
Bit different from calling someone a racist.
    The wakefield one escapes me.

He's your mate defend him nothing wrong with that. But it Doesn't make me wrong on this issue. That is my opinion and I stand by it.

Are they equally spaced out stripes? That's important apparently.

If you outline/explain your exact issue, I will endeavour to get back to you ASAP on it. To save you having to wait for the next fan engagement meeting.

My opinion changes every 6 months, but at present, this is my all time favourite kit. I'm all for those weird 90s colour and pattern combos at the minute.

No. And they won't be on sale until October.

Light Blue? 1996, last time I think, or the wonderful Fiorentina kit from earlier this century?.

Then we certainly need to improve things cos the school playground should be full of Barnsley shirts which would make it m harder to spot.

The 13/14 was a light blue one. With a white stripe going down on the badge side.

A green one could be nice. Certainly would be a bit different to what we’ve had more recently.

Black apparently is the most intimidating colour.
