One of my favourites is Catbells but it was beaten by the experience of Helvelyn via Striding edge. We did it as part of a guided group and was a great way to get over otherwise out of reach peaks
First pub I ever bought a pint in, we were at a conference at Charlotte Mason collage from school, we went out for lunch as kendal girls school had turned up unexpectantly and we volunteered to miss the lunch provided.......went to the pub, happy daysnt out with a girl whose parents owned the whole block of shops fronting the main road opposite the old bus station as well, must have been worth a small fortune even 40 plus years ago
Coniston Old Man one of my personal favourites. One reason being that i have done it on 3 occasions and on every one the weather jas be glorious and the views spectacular.
I’d got my lingmell and lingmoors back to front anyway . Lingmell is a cracking hill. Next time try the scramble up to the left of Piers Gill (obviously stay out of the gill). Brings you out at the top of the gill on the corridor, great way up the Pike and or Lingmell. https://www.walkupscafellpike.co.uk/lake-district-walk/scafell-pike-via-piers-gill/
