no problem with lauding the lad from Chelsea. But to suggest they were better than us over the two legs based on that rankles. Did Collins do anything other than pick the ball out of the net? Their keeper did more, which is fine as that’s his job. But to suggest they were better than us is the kind of claim someone who is impaired would make.
I looked at the clock about half a minute after Routledge went down to intentionally time it and when I looked it was bang on 50 mins. He was then subbed off at 53mins 35 so it took a minimum of 4 minutes for that alone. Plus the subs. Plus the timewasting. 5 minutes is disgraceful and the ref/4th official, whoever it is who decides, shouldn't just be able to get away with it whether we were likely to score again or not.
He was surprised he got 2 motm but he deserved them. A bit nauseating the commentators fawning all over him, bit that wasn't his fault, he seemed a genuine lad on the interview after.
I hate all this we should be gracious losers ********,they are cheating time wasters who started from minute 1 of the first leg, hope Brentford smash them, ask everyone of our players who had their head in their hands watching the ref reward all the antics
We should have called out the antics following the first game. We have had loads of national press coverage but they have just escaped another game with out one booking for time wasting / kicking the ball away the only bit of karma was naughton injury himself whilst kicking the ball away etc. Remember our game against WBA away what did we get that night about 7 yellows was it.
I couldn't agree more. 180 minutes of frustration. Frustration that we didn't do ourselves justice in the tie. Frustration about the shithousery from Swansea throughout. Frustration that the referee fell for it every time and gave us bugger all. Frustration that our two best missed chances fell to the players least likely to take them. Frustration that Collins chose to punch rather than make a routine catch for their goal, which gave us a mountain to climb. Frustration that their goal in the first leg was offside and we got no such lucky breaks. I may add more to this list, as it all floods back to me through the dark clouds of disappointment.
Cheats obviously do beat Game over Enough said COYR Couldn’t be more proud of our lads Rather play like we did than lower ourselves to their standards.
I said the same to my mate. You’ve the routledge injury. Hourihane substitution, constant time wasting from their keeper and the kicking of the ball away not to mention the ridiculous cheating and diving I mean what the **** was that foul given against Morris on Guehi, when he was shielding the ball and fell over. Absolute joke, even the commentary couldn’t believe it!
