I think Kane is a Mowatt replacement in waiting.

Seems like this may be an unpopular view on this thread but I think we will struggle to get anyone approaching his quality if he goes.
    There I’ve said it.

Our recruitment recently on the whole says otherwise.

Hope you're right. Certainly has a big step to make if he is.

    Not premier league quality.
How many of us would have got shut. If we'd have gone to the premier league.
I for one, would have given him that chance to prove one way or another.
For another club it's a risk they may not want to take.

I suspect the list of PL clubs tracking him probably shortened after the two play-off semis. He's probably already been on the blower to Ashley Fletcher's agent.

I can see him at Sheff U, been saying it for months. I hope not though.

Agreed, we'll probably get someone with lots of potential and as such talent but Mowatt is now very experienced for a player his age. We'll miss him greatly.

He’s the heartbeat of our side & best player of very close to it for three seasons running.

He’s a huge loss to us but as we’ve seen before he’ll probably go somewhere & be a fringe player on 3 or 4 times as much money. It’s just the way it goes.

Can’t see him going back to Leeds, he’s probably just meeting mates as he’s still pals with Phillips & a few of the others. Hope he has a good night out. He’s earned one. Ran himself into the ground all season.

Nearly every time one of our best players is rumoured to be leaving, some fans fall over themselves to claim he's not that good anyway and we have a better player on our books. The classic example is Brian Howard, with Diego Leon being his perfect replacement! :D However, it also applied to the likes of Adam Hammill (first time round) & Jacob Butterfield. It goes back even further when Mick Butler was sold and I was told not to worry as we had John Peachey! :D

as long as I can remember, it's happened with our fans. I wonder if it's the same at all clubs?

Probably. Personally, I find it utterly pathetic.

To be fair with a few exceptions most of the players who've been brilliant when here have gone on to be average when they've left for more money.

Its not just him as a footballer we will miss. Its the character. He as an ego and that's what we've always needed.

It will be interesting to see how well he does wherever he goes. Best of luck to him.

He'd have been on the bench and we all know it. He'll be on bench if he signs for any championship side who isnt skint and we all know it.good luck to him tryin to blame our owners for no ambition if he dont sign. He's played well this year but i never think he's gonna score from a set piece, dont get me wrong when he's chance to put a good ball in frm a dead ball situation i think chance- but who thinks were gonna score from edge of area when he's stood over ball?

Yeh, an ego that says he's gonna leave if tarn show no ambition, lets see where he ends up. We paid his wages for a year to get his head sorted, people need to think about him sayin that.well actually i think it was. It all depends on weather bfc are ambitious to weather i sign a new contract or not.we finished 5th if we sell noone and strengthen and keep val. Let him go for me.dont try and blame the board alex if you dont sign. He'll be gone within 2 weeks of his contract running out and i hope am singin summat to him wen he's on sumdis bench.

    Mowatt isn’t Premier League quality.

Mowatt will be a big miss for us.

Both statements can be true at the same time.
